Most of us probably haven’t been told that the lowly chili pepper contains many naturally healthy healing properties. As Dr. Nancy Snyderman above explains, it is the primary ingredient in many over the counter topical arthritis medications. In fact, there was a time when it was illegal to sell the active ingredient of these hot peppers known as capsaicin.
Today, the pharmaceutical industry keeps this naturally healthy secret behind close doors. They’re not telling the public that they can treat and cure many ailments and diseases just by increasing the amount of hot spicy peppers in their diets. Of course NOT! That would be bad for business, after all, these mega companies have investors to answer to.
But, I don’t mind letting the cat out of the bag. I have elderly family members that are now including cayenne peppers in their diets. It may take a while to see any improvements, but at least there are no adverse side effects, and it adds zest to their food.
